👋 Hello there, I’m Xingwei

I’m a reasearch associate in the School of Computer Science, University of Sheffield. I work with Prof. Nikos Aletras on Responsible AI UK’s £3.5M Keystone project: Addressing Socio-technical Limitations of LLMs for Medical and Social Computing [AdSoLve] (https://rai.ac.uk/research/keystone-projects/).

I obtained my PhD from Department of Computer Science, University of Warwick, supervised by Prof. Yulan He and Dr. Gabriele Pergola. My Thsis is about Understanding Event Relation in Text with Machine Learning methods.

I have done some work on sentiment analysis in my previous study.

I am currently doing research about reasoning with large language models.

I did my MSc in South China University of Technology. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Sun Yat-Sen University.
